The holiday season is filled with so much good cheer, it’s easy to forget that serious injuries happen. But each year, impaired driving continues to be a contributing factor in 68 deaths on BC roads.1

The good news? These injuries and deaths are preventable. That’s why this season we’ve partnered with the City of Vancouver, MADD Canada, and EasyPark on a new campaign to remind drivers to choose a safe ride home after a night of fun.

A new option is available for event goers in Vancouver: drivers can leave the car overnight in a designated EasyPark lot and pick it up the next day when they’re sober. It’s as simple as using the Pay By Phone mobile application or the pay stations located inside the parkades and selecting the “Park Until” feature to leave your car overnight up to 6:00 PM the next day.

The full list of parkades available can be found at bit.ly/ParkOvernight.

Before you leave the party, stop and have a word with yourself. Or even better, plan ahead. By reminding ourselves to stay safe we can keep the season filled with joy. Happy Holidays!
