In these uncertain financial times, finding ways to cut costs is a common mantra. Whether you’re a parent concerned about making ends meet, a student trying to put yourself through school, a private enterprise trying to turn a profit, or government wanting to reduce a deficit, looking for ways to save money is a constant.

“By changing our attitudes towards preventable injuries, we could save our healthcare system over a billion dollars a year.”
my first reaction was that a billion dollars could really help us financially as a province. Then I thought about how the money could really help people with non-preventable illnesses and health problems.
What does this statement make you think of?
