Water can be one of the most dangerous things a person could be in especially if they are acting the fool. There is no room to act like a horses behind in water. This initiative is great because it made me question my behavior in the water as well as providing me with useful tips on protecting my kids as well.

We all have jobs we've done a thousand times and never come close to being hurt while doing them. Just like an airline pilot has thousands of hours in their log books. But it is standard practice for a pilot to pre flight inspect his plane to make sure it is airworthy.Just like a pilot people should pre work check the tools they will be using and the area they are going to be working in to make sure everything is up to standard

I always wear a bike helmet since I used to commute to work on my bike and rode in traffic. Now as a retired person I ride for pleasure at least three times a week always with a helmet.

Hey, what about the Kootenays?? I saw your initiative in the Lower Mainland on the news the other night. After seeing it I went out and bought a helmet and convinced my parents (who have been skiing helmetless for 40 years) to buy helmets today as well! Too bad we weren't able to get the coupons. Think about setting something up at Whitewater. Big bumps, lots of trees and lots of opportunity for head injuries.

I don't get how putting "You Probably Won't Need a Helmet Today" on a snowboard is a good way to tell people TO wear a helmet. Seems like the exact opposite message to me. Now possibly saying "You are probably not expecting to leave your brains splattered on a tree trunk today" might at least get the correct point across.

Snowboarding is one of the famous, interesting, adventurous and fun sports. But the first and most important piece of safety equipment while you ride bike is a helmet which provides Snowboard protection. These are safety helmet so you can wear them on your bike, skate, skateboarding which protect you against injuries. Also, provide maximum protection in case you fall backward.

When is a sport too dangerous for me? Hmm... I enjoy cross country mountain biking but I stay away from down hill mountain biking because I hear of the high incident of neck injuries from it. I hike mountains and will hike near edges and such, but draw the line when I start to feel weak in the knees or when a simple stumble could put me over the edge. I suppose I let my fear be the guide and if it's not kicking in enough when I think it ought to be, I add a little wise thinking. (ie, although I'd prefer to not wear a bicycle helmet, I wear one regularly as I realize no one plans on having a brain injury.)

On the other hand sometimes people think I'm taking risks too easily by cycling in the snow or something like this. I don't want to be a worry wart and keep myself sheltered. I'll just do it while taking some safety precautions and then go and have fun.
