I've seen some weird drivers when it comes to talking on the phone. One guy didn't even have his hands on the wheel at all. One hand was around a portable gaming system which he was playing and the other was to his ear talking on the phone. All the while going 80km down the hwy. Not only did I speed up a little to get him away from me if and when he took someone out, I also reported his licence plate to the police as soon as I was able to pull over. I keep my phone beside me when I'm driving. I will answer the phone when safe to do so or I will let it go to voicemail.

Texting while driving is even more dangerous than talking on your mobile and driving. It takes your eyes completely off the road. Same goes for playing on your iPod/iPhone/iTouch while driving. Keep safe!

I was on the highway the other day and came up beside a driver who had his Blackberry propped up on top of his steering wheel and was full-on texting, glancing up every few seconds to see if he had killed anyone yet. I honked and gave him a WTF? look. He looked back at me like I was crazy and kept on texting. Menace.

As a bicyclist, I can't begin to tell you how many times I have almost been hit by people using a cell phone while driving. So often drivers can't properly see on the side they're holding their phone on. And therefore, they don't always see what's coming on that side of the vehicle. I long for the day when using a cell phone while driving becomes illegal. Isn't pulling off the road to make a call worth the life of yourself or another?

I was driving the freeway with my two children. This single motorist infront of me weaving within his lane. As the H.O.V. lane approached, I passed onto it. As we passed this driver by, my daughter noticed that this driver was texting. Not a kilometer down the road, he is on my tail...in the HOV lane, texting. Why do people text while driving ? its no differant than reading a book. Maybe you ought to make a commercial like that..would people see the dangers then?
